Winter Park Whole Foods Market Welcomes Wild Veggie
FRANKFORT, MI (October 1, 2008) — The freshly picked taste of Wild Veggie is now available in a second location for residents of the greater Orlando area. Two varieties of the all-natural vegetable product are being offered in the prepared foods section of the Winter Park Whole Foods Market®.
“We are excited that Whole Foods is introducing this all-natural product to health-conscious consumers in Winter Park,” explained Chris Walrad, Wild Veggie national sales and marketing manager. “Wild Veggie is a great fit for Whole Foods customers and we look forward to bringing the fresh-picked flavor, nutritious appeal and innovative serving options of Wild Veggie broccoli and red bell pepper to this store.”
Each seven-ounce serving of Wild Veggie provides the nutritional equivalent of up to 2.5 servings of vegetables, and can be enjoyed hot or cold as a soup or beverage. It is also easy to prepare in a variety of delicious and nutritious recipes. Four varieties - broccoli, red bell pepper, cauliflower and edamame - are available at select Whole Foods Market locations.
“Whole Foods customers appreciate the on-the-go convenience of Wild Veggie’s self-serve dispensers located in the check-out area,” said Walrad. “And they really enjoy Wild Veggie’s all-natural quality. We start with fresh in-season vegetables that are minimally processed to ensure rich vegetable taste and nutrition and use no preservatives, artificial ingredients, color or trans fat.”
Wild Veggie is available at the Whole Foods Market, 1989 Aloma Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32792, and will be featured at the Central Florida VegFest on October 25 in Orlando. The product is also offered in the prepared foods section of Whole Foods Market stores in Orlando at Phillips Crossing and Naples at Mercato.
Wild Veggie is distributed by Graceland Fruit, Inc. Additional product details and recipes are available at www.wildveggieus.com. For more information, contact Chris Walrad, national sales manager, at 231.651.9231 or cwalrad@wildveggieus.com.
